Before the alleged incident, Webber was best known as a professional cornhole player without any limbs, no arms, no legs. He previously told press he lost much of his arms and legs to a dangerous blood infection at 10-months-old. Despite the loss of his limbs as a child, he quickly learned to move around. He learned to pick things up, write, drive, race go-karts, operate heavy machinery, hunt, fish, and more.

But Webber’s triumphant story and professional career have all been superseded after Sunday night (March 22). The La Plata, Maryland resident is now making headlines for allegedly fatally shooting another man during an argument.

According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), two people flagged down La Plata Police Department officers near La Plata Road and Radio Station Road. The two witnesses claimed they were in the backseat of a white Tesla when the driver, identified as Webber, shot and killed the front seat passenger during an argument.

The two witnesses said Webber pulled over near Radio Station Road and Llano Drive. He then allegedly asked them to help pull the victim’s body from the car. However, the two refused, exited the vehicle, and left the scene for help. The witnesses claimed Webber also allegedly fled the scene, with the victim’s body still inside the car.

Eventually, patrol officers with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office joined the investigation with the La Plata Police Department. They began helping search nearby areas, hoping to find out where Webber could have fled. Nearly two hours later, police received a tip from a resident in the 10000 block of Newport Church Road in Charlotte Hall. The person told 911 they found a body in a yard.

Upon police arrival, they discovered the victim dead at the scene. Police identified him as Bradrick Michael Wells, 27, of Waldorf, Maryland. Shortly after, CCSO detectives obtained a warrant for Webber’s arrest. Investigators then located his car in Charlottesville, Virginia. Authorities said they found him at a local hospital, where he sought treatment for an undisclosed medical issue.

Once medical professionals released Webber from the hospital, officers with the Albemarle County Police Department arrested him as a fugitive from justice. Webber is expected to be extradited to Charles County, where he awaits charge of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and other related charges.
