Awe! Rapper Q-Tip asked fans for help in finding a woman he went to a Prince concert with back in high school. He said, “I think u often.”

Taking to his Twitter account over the weekend, the “Vivrant Thing” rapper called on his fans and the rest of the internet to help him locate a woman he once caught a Prince concert with when he was in the 9th grade.

The 53-year-old rapper wrote, “There was a girl I went to HS with. PAMELA SWEAT. We went to the PRINCE concert in 9th grade @ MSG. Pam, if you’re out there, I’d love to know u r well i think of u often.

Soon after the rapper’s tweet was posted, it went viral, and not too long after, his fans flooded his comments. Eventually, one fan shared an old photo of his high school friend that he had seen Prince with.

Replying to the tweet, Q-Tip said, “Yesssss!.” Then right after that, Q-Tip responded to another comment that shared a more recent photo of his dear old friend. The rapper replied to it and said, “Pam!”

While it is unclear if Q-Tip ended up getting connected with his old friend again after replying to the more recent photo of her, fans in the comments were elated at how quickly the Twitter community gathered to help the rapper find his friend.

One fan comments, “This is so sweet.” Another said, “She look like she could be a single mother, Tip. Which means God saved her for you. Go be happy.” Another person said, “Twitter is the best community. N***as really went to work for you Tip.” Someone else, posted a GIF that said, “Go get her.”

Aside from Q-Tip looking for his old high school friend, he has been recently teasing a upcoming solo record. The new project would mark his first one since releasing ‘Kamaal the Abstract,’ back in 2009.

Last month, Tip responded to a fan who asked him to “bring that album along too,” when he had made an announcement about new merchandise on the way. Tip said, “Coming.”
