Pusha-T Seemingly Disses Drake On Leaked Pop Smoke Track

While fans flooded Twitter amid the release of the Pop Smoke album ‘Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon,’ some were surprised to learn that one song, “Paranoia,” was missing from the posthumous release after being leaked; it featured Young Thug, Gunna, and Pusha-T, who seemingly dissed Drake.

Once the Twitterverse caught wind of the lyrics, it sent them into an uproar, speculating. Seemingly referencing Drake’s use of accents and the 2018 incident when several men rushed the Virginia rapper’s set in Toronto, Pusha raps, “You know reality bites/It’s chess not checkers/Those empty threats only sound good on your records/If the patois is not followed by blocka/It’s like marked for death Screwface, without the choppa/Let ’em rush the stage when you made like Sinatra.”

Continuing, by referencing a city near Drake’s hometown, Pusha adds, “Only to find the blade, flyin’ back through LaGuardia/I might even buy a home out in Mississauga. On my walls, half scrawls of Tshabalala’s/Many doors, that are sprawled, they my il nana’s/Make a call, she gon’ crawl, Bad Gyal Patra/I’m involved then absolved, I am Godfather, hush.” #Socialites, thoughts?

Confirming the song’s existence, Steven Victor, head of Pop’s label Victor Victor Worldwide, told fans in his comments there was a glitch and the song would later appear on the LP.
