Moments Before The Murder

Earlier this month, on Wednesday April 6, the incident went down in broad daylight. According to the preliminary report, an argument broke out in the middle of Sánchez Osorio Avenue, in the Fontana Villa area, near the Gilberto Concepción de Gracia school.

Shortly after the intense discussion, 36-year-old Carlos Miseal Clemente Rosario, who was driving a burgundy Suzuki XL7 van, cut off another man in the middle of the avenue. It was the assailant, who was driving a dark green Toyota Four Runner truck. Clemente Rosario exited his vehicle with a bat in his hands and tried to attack the other individual.

The Murder

Clemente Rosario swung about 1-2 times, the first to scare the assailant and the second hitting a window, hard enough for it to shatter. Before he could back up and run, the other driver drew a firearm and began firing round after round.

Several shots hit Clemente Rosario; who soon fell to the ground, lying in the middle of the road, trying to crawl away to safety. However, the shooter continued shooting him, seemingly emptying his clip as he walked up to Clemente Rosario, who was trying to escape. The assailant then calmly turned around and walked to his vehicle and fled the scene, as if nothing had happened.

The incident of the two cars intercepting and the moments after Clemente Rosario being shot, were all captured in its entirety by security cameras in the area.

After The Murder

Following the deadly incident, local authorities asked citizens to share any information linking back to the shooter. However, due to the authorities’ intense search on social media, the pressure began mount and he turned himself in, along with his vehicle being seized.

Immediately upon doing so, the shooter was held in preventative detention and charged with aggravated homicide and illegal possession of a firearm. It’s reported that a ruling by a judge is still to be made for years spent in prison.
