Puerto Rico Investigating Jake Paul After Riding Vehicle On Beach During Turtle-Nesting Season

Yikes! Officials in Puerto Rico are currently investigating Jake Paul after he posted to social media a video of him riding a motor vehicle on a beach during turtle-nesting season. While sources close to the social media star say he meant no harm or malice by cruising on the beach with his friends and brother Logan Paul, one of the presumed drivers, a statement from Rafael Machargo, the Secretary of the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DNER), announced the investigation,

Machargo stated, “Some media have been published today a video of the influencer Jake Paul in a motor vehicle on the beach, an activity that is prohibited, apart from law enforcement agencies. Although the video does not establish where or when it was carried out, the DNER reminds citizens that this type of activity is prohibited by law to protect the environment and the species that can nest or live on the beaches. Those who violate the law face fines and other penalties, if applicable.”

As mentioned, sources say the Paul brothers meant no malice with their excursion. Sources add that the brothers did not see any signs prohibiting motor vehicles nor signs indicating that it was nesting season for the turtles nor other species. Allegedly, the group of friends saw other people driving around the shores and figured all was good. Sources add that Jake is a huge animal lover and wouldn’t do anything to harm any. He’s reportedly more than willing to cooperate with the Puerto Rican authorities to help protect and preserve the area.
