Prosecutors Claim Andrew Brown Jr. Hit Cops With Car Before They Killed Him
The North Carolina prosecutor who is overseeing the fatal police shooting of Andrew Brown claims that he hit officers with his vehicle.
“As it backs up, it does make contact with law enforcement officers,” District Attorney Andrew Womble said to Judge Jeffrey Foster.
“The next movement of the car is forward,” Womble added, according to Fox News. “It is in the [direction] of law enforcement and makes contact with law enforcement. It is then, and only then, you hear shots.”

“Andrew had his hands on his steering wheel,” Cherry-Lassiter added. “He was not reaching for anything, he was not touching anything, he wasn’t throwing anything around. He has his hands firmly on the steering wheel.”
