Priyanka Chopra Says She Was Asked To Leave Film Set After Requesting Equal Pay
Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas claims she was once asked to leave a film set by its producer after requesting equal pay to her male co-stars.
In a new interview with the podcast ‘Skimm’d from The Couch,’ the “Quantico” star reveals that a movie exec told her she could “take the paycheck which was nominal compared” to those of the men she starred alongside, or she could pack her things and exit stage left.

The 38-year-old actress claims producers told her, “There’s so many other girls who will take this opportunity. And, you know, women in movies are interchangeable.” Despite her wishes, Chopra decided to remain on set. She explains, “I didn’t do anything about it. I had to work within the system because that’s what we’re told, that, ‘You know, if you want this job … this is the only way.'” She adds, “It took almost 15 years for me to get to that place where, you know, I could stand my ground. took hearing the conversations from other women banding together to give me the confidence to stand up for myself.”
