Prince Philip Reportedly Related To Meghan Markle, Was Also Treated Like An ‘Outsider’ By Royal Family

The late Prince Philip and Meghan Markle reportedly had a lot in common as they were both allegedly treated like ‘outsiders’ by the Royal family.

Per PAGE SIX, Ingrid Seward wrote about the Prince’s experience with palace officials in her book, “My Husband and I: The Inside Story of the Royal Marriage.” Prince Philip reportedly also felt disrespected and was treated unfairly when he initially married Queen Elizabeth, similar to Markle’s current experience.

“Life at court was very frustrating for him at first. It was very stuffy,” said Lord Brabourne, a relative of Philips, per Ingrid. This also came down to Philip being born in Greece, making palace officials annoyed by his ‘non-British’ background.

“Tommy Lascelles (private secretary to the King) was impossible. They were bloody to him. They patronized him. They treated him as an outsider. It wasn’t much fun,” she added.“He laughed it off, of course, but it must have hurt. I’m not sure Princess Elizabeth noticed it. She probably didn’t see it.”

Apparently, officials didn’t like that he spoke his mind and found him “rude.”

“Philip was constantly being squashed, snubbed, ticked off, rapped over the knuckles,” said the Duke’s former private secretary Mike Parker, percthe Express. ”It was intolerable. The problem was simply that Philip had energy, ideas, get-up-and-go, and that didn’t suit the Establishment, not one bit.”
