Prince Harry To Return To UK For Prince Philip’s FuneralPrince Harry To Return To UK For Prince Philip’s Funeral
Despite the turbulent few weeks for Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and the royal family, Harry is reportedly going to return to England for his grandfather, Prince Philip’s funeral
Per PEOPLE, Harry has not been to the UK for over a year, but he will most likely join his family for the funeral at St. George’s Chapel. As of now, it is not clear if Meghan will join as she is pregnant with the couple’s second child.
As we reported, the Royal family released a statement following Philip’s death.
“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,” Buckingham Palace said.. “His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.”
“The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.”
Philip was a staple part of Prince William and Harry’s lives after the passing of their mother Diana.
“A member of the Balmoral staff noted that Prince Philip, who had effectively lost his own mother at the age of ten when she was committed for three years to an asylum in Switzerland, was brilliantly effective with his grandsons, offering them gruff tenderness and outdoor activities like stalking and hiking to tire them out,” The Diana Chronicles, author Tina Brown wrote.
