In a statement by the Clarence House, it was said that Charles has been displaying mild symptoms but overall is in “good health.” “The Prince of Wales has tested positive for Coronavirus. He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual,” the Clarence House said to Fox News in a statement Wednesday morning.

The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire where he and his wife met the criteria “required for testing.” Clarence House added that “it is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks,” while noting that the 71-year-old British royal’s wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, 72, had tested negative for coronavirus.

According to the statement, both are currently at their home, Burnham on the Balmoral Estate, in Scotland “self-isolating.” As of Wednesday, the U.K. had over 8,000 cases and 422 deaths.
