Hollywood Unlocked was in the building for the world premiere of 20th Century studio’s newest film “Prey.” The movie stars some big names such as Amber Midthunder, Dane DiLiegro, Stephanie Mathias, and more. While speaking with Amber Midthunder we learned that she is a skilled warrior named Naru who fights to save her people from one of the first highly-evolved Predators to land on Earth.
The predator who is played by Dane DiLegro detailed how his outfit looked so real and was also scared of his own costume. While speaking with the actor we got some exciting details about his previous life. According to DiLegro he played professional basketball for 8 seasons for teams located in Italy and Israel and now the former ball player is living his dreams in Los Angeles landing big movie roles. He explained that his journey didn’t come easy, but he knew what his true passion was and did tons of research and got connected with the right people, and made the move to become an actor.
Also, Dakota Beavers, who plays Taabe in the film expressed that he was a track star as well and compared the film’s boot camp to being just as hard as some of his track workouts. Beavers explained that he comes from a background of hard workouts so the boot camp was right up his alley. He revealed the film was shot during the Covid-19 pandemic so when he was in his hotel room by himself he would knock out 500 pushups and setups to prepare himself for this role.
The star power and the excitement from the entire cast were something amazing to witness. Seeing their chemistry in person and the way they distributed that on the screen was something great to be a part of.
