President Donald Trump revealed during an interview that he often regrets posting certain tweets as they caused him some “trouble” throughout his presidency on Thursday.

Trump sat down with Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports and claims he would regret hitting the send button in reference to his controversial tweets amongst other things. During the interview, the president also mentions being a reference in “79 rap songs” during his career as a businessman and reality television star. He says “The best day in my life, in terms of business and life and everything, the day before I announced [a run for president in 2015], everything was good,”

As for the tweets, he referred to his tweets as writing a letter to someone but never sending it out and says the retweets have caused controversy during his presidency. In detail, Trump states “We put it out instantaneously. We feel great. And then you start getting phone calls: ‘Did you really say this?’ I say, ‘What’s wrong with that?’ And you find a lot of things. You know what I find? It’s not the tweets, it’s the retweets that get you in trouble. “You see something that looks good. And you don’t investigate it and you don’t look at what’s on the helmet exactly, right? Which is in miniature and you don’t blow it up. I have found almost always it’s the retweets that get you in trouble.”

Trump also discussed his run-in with actor Sacha Baron Cohen during his days as the satirical character, Ali G, and also video chatted with Portnoy’s father via video call.
