President Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for the second time this week after helping two European nations with a peace deal.

According to the New York Post, Swedish Parliament member Magnus Jacobsson tweeted early Friday morning that he will be nominating President Trump and the two nations’ government for forming a peace deal in regards to economics. He writes, “I have nominated the US Gov. and the governments of Kosovo and Serbia for the Nobel Peace Prize for their joint work for peace and economic development, through the cooperation agreement signed in the White House. Trade and communications are important building blocks for peace.”
Earlier this week, Trump was nominated by Norwegian Parliament member Christian Tybring-Gjedde for forming a similar deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates called the Abraham Accords.
“As more countries normalize relations with Israel, which will happen quite quickly, we believe, the region will become more and more stable, secure and prosperous,”

Trump said in a statement that it “took decades because you didn’t have anybody trying to get it done,” in reference to Serbia and Kosovo forming an alliance together. Leaders Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti praised Trump for his leadership and “commitment to peace.”
The announcement of the Nobel Peace Prize winner will be made in October 2021.
