During his press run in New Delhi, India, President Donald Trump revealed why he didn’t like Harvey Weinstein after reporters questioned him about the movie producer’s guilty verdict.
Yahoo! News reports President Trump expressed his opinion about Harvey Weinstein a day after he was convicted of two sex crimes. At the end of his two-day trip, he stated he was “never a fan” of Weinstein and said the Democrats loved him because of the amount donations the movie mogul contributed to the political party:

“He was a person I never liked. … I was just not a fan of his. I knew him a little bit. The people that liked him were the Democrats. Michelle Obama loved him, loved him. Hillary Clinton loved him. He gave a lot of money to the Democrats, and my question is, will the Democrats be asking for that money back?”
Trump also stated that he was not familiar with Weinstein’s case but thought the verdict was a “great thing” for women.
“From the standpoint of women, I think it was a great thing and it sends a very strong message.”

Yesterday, Weinstein was found guilty on two of five counts for a criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree. However, he was found not guilty for two counts of predatory sexual assault and rape in the first degree. A judge ordered for Weinstein to be taken to jail immediately after the conviction but the movie producer was transported to Bellevue Hospital for chest pains. He will remain in custody until his sentencing on March 11.
