Oh no! President Joe Biden was caught taking a terrible tumble during the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in Colorado. He claims he “got sandbagged,” and reacting to the incident Donald Trump said, “That’s crazy.”

President Joe Biden Says He ‘Got Sandbagged’ After Falling Down At U.S. Air Force Academy Graduation; Trump Says ‘That’s Crazy’
On Thursday (June 1), President Biden was at the ceremony, where he was set to deliver the commencement address. In a clip that has since gone viral, President Biden is seen shaking hands with the graduates.
After shaking one man’s hand, Biden turns to his left to walk away and ends up falling down to the ground near the podium. However, he was quickly helped back up to his feet by an Air Force officer and Secret Service agents.
After being picked up, President Biden walks away without anyone’s help. Throughout the rest of the ceremony, Biden was seen standing and greeting people, still without any help. It was later revealed that Biden had tripped over a black sandbag being used to kept the teleprompter on the stage upright.
Since the incident, White House communications director Ben LaBolt said, “He’s fine. There was a sandbag on stage while he was shaking hands.”
Additionally, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also updated that Biden is “totally fine.” While Biden didn’t take any questions as he boarded onto Air Force One, he later spoke out as he returned to the White House. The 80-year-old leader of the free world told reporters, “I got sandbagged!”
Meanwhile, the Republicans continue to have a field day as Biden’s age and fitness have continued to be a factor in his reelection campaign. He is the oldest sitting president in history and if he is reelected in 2024, he will end his second term at age 86.
Even former President Donald Trump reacted to the news of Biden falling. Trump, who will also be in his 80s if elected, was at a rally in Iowa, and the folks in the crowd updated him about the fall.
Trump said, “Well I hope he wasn’t hurt. The whole thing is crazy. You gotta be careful about that because you don’t want that. Even if you have to tiptoe down a ramp.” Trump was referring to his own experience he had at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point back in 2020. The whole crowd roared in laughter after his comments.
