Before his death, Robert Trump served as the top executive at the Trump Organization and was the youngest of Mary and Fred Trump’s children. Like his brother, Robert worked in the family’s real estate business and held various senior business positions such as vice president as reported by the New York Post. He also oversaw the casino operations in Atlantic City, New Jersey but was very private about his life but his claim to fame was when he was caught cheating on his then-wife Blaine Trump with Trump Organization secretary, Ann Marie Pallan in 2008. The couple divorced in 2010 and never had any children together.

Shortly after news broke out about his brother’s sudden passing, President Trump released the following statement: “It is with a heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight. He was not just my brother, he was my best friend,” he went on. “He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”

Robert also defended his brother after their niece Mary Trump was set to release a tell-all memoir “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created The Most Dangerous Man” about her infamous uncle. They argued that her book would violate a nondisclosure agreement that barred her from speaking publicly about any family members.

“Her attempt to sensationalize and mischaracterize our family relationship after all these years for her own financial gain is both a travesty and injustice to the memory of my late brother, Fred and our beloved parents, I and the rest of my entire family are so proud of my wonderful brother, the president, and feel that Mary’s actions are truly a disgrace,” he told the New York Times.
