After the Donald Trump administration assisted Israel in launching air strikes on Iran last week, President Trump, 79, now “guesses” Americans should be worried about Iran launching retaliatory attacks on U.S. soil.

On Thursday (March 5), Time published a new cover story, featuring President Trump. It was titled, “Trump’s War,” and is published by correspondent Eric Cortellessa. While speaking Cortellessa, Trump spoke about the unfolding U.S. and Israel military conflict with Iran.
He also echoed claims about lives being lost amid progressing conflict. Following the February 28 attack, six U.S. service members were killed in a retaliatory drone strike abroad. Additionally, more than 1,000 people were believed dead as of Wednesday (March 4), amid the conflict in the Middle East.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the Iranian Red Crescent Society stated, “Relief operations are ongoing, with 1,009 emergency response teams deployed across 153 affected counties.”
Donald Trump Talks Going To War With Iran, How Long It Could Be, And If Americans Should Worry About Terror Attacks
On Wednesday (March 4), Trump spoke with Time during a phone call. He said he has “no time limits” on how long the war with Iran could go on. He said, “I have no time limits on anything. I want to get it done.” Previously, he told the public that he expects the war to last four to five weeks.
However, experts believe these timelines could shift if Trump reaches his goals or continues facing mounting political pressure domestically. In his call with Time, Trump shares his goals, explaining, “They can’t have a nuclear weapon. That’s number one, two, and three. Number four, no ballistic missiles.”
President Trump also said he is installing “somebody that is rational and sane” to lead Iran. This after the nation’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the U.S.-assisted Israeli air strikes. When asked if Americans should be concerned about retaliatory Iranian attacks in the United States, he said:
“I guess. But I think they’re worried about that all the time. We think about it all the time. We plan for it. But yeah, you know, we expect some things. Like I said, some people will die. When you go to war, some people will die.”
