President Biden To Reverse Transgender Military Ban
Next up on President Biden’s list is an executive order to reverse a Pentagon policy that largely bars transgender individuals from joining the military!

The Obama administration, in which Biden was vice president, lifted the previous ban on transgender military service in 2016. But in 2017, former President Donald Trump tweeted he would reverse the open service policy, saying he would “not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military.”
Later In 2019, the Pentagon implemented a policy meant to fulfill Trump’s order that bars most transgender people from serving in the military unless they do so in their biological sex. Biden pledged during the presidential campaign he would lift the ban, referring to doing so as a “day one” priority. According to the Hill, Biden is expected to sign the executive order as soon as right after Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is ceremonially sworn in at the White House on Monday, a source said
This is just one of many executive orders Biden is planning to sign in his first full week as President .
