Oh no! President Joe Biden took a little tumble this morning while riding his bicycle with first lady Jill Biden.
Videos posted online show the moment he glides across the street and comes to a stop as he greets reporters. Seconds later, he’s seen falling over and onto the ground. The president, who has frequently been seen on a bicycle since taking up his post in the Oval Office, said he got his foot caught in the pedal when trying to take it out. “I’m good,” he said appearing in good spirits when immediately asked if he was OK.
What Did He Do After The Fall?
The president quickly collected himself and spent a few minutes talking with people who had gathered to watch him bike.
Meanwhile, in a statement to Fox News a White House official said, “The President said, his foot got caught on the pedal while dismounting and he is fine. No medical attention is needed. The President looks forward to spending the rest of the day with his family,” the official added.
The Bidens are spending a long weekend at their Rehoboth Beach home as they recently marked their 45th wedding anniversary.
Joe Biden Took A Stumble Earlier This Month
President Biden tripped on the steps of Air Force One, hours before taping a late-night comedy interview with ABC host Jimmy Kimmel.
However, last year, he tripped a total of three times in the same day.
President Biden was visiting Georgia back in March 2021 and met with Asian communities to learn how they are being impacted by the series of shootings. But while getting on Air Force One the president tripped once, twice, and finally a third time before falling up the stairs leading to the presidential plane. At 79, Biden is the oldest president in the nation’s history. The White House said at the time he was “doing 100% fine” after that spill.
