In a heartbreaking turn of events, a 17-year-old girl in South Carolina was reportedly found dead. The teenager was nine months pregnant, according to WSB-TV.
Maylashia Shantebia Hogg was found dead Sunday in Barnwell. According to the report, Hogg was last seen on February 6 or 7 and she was set to be induced on February 13th in hopes of having her baby on Valentine’s Day. The news outlet spoke with family members and they revealed that Hoggs was expecting a baby girl.

As of right now, information on her death is slim and it’s unclear if authorities have identified any suspects in her death. An autopsy is set for Wednesday, according to WJCL. The Barnwell police department, SLED, and the Coroner’s Office are all now involved in the investigation.
