As we shared earlier, ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Porsha Williams, 41, and her fiancé Simon Guobadia, 57, have officially tied the knot — and they did so in style at their traditional Nigerian ceremony! On Friday (November 25), the newlyweds held their first wedding of two.

The first wedding held was a traditional Nigerian gathering at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, while the second wedding — a custom American ceremony — will take place on Saturday (November 26).
The Atlanta ceremony took place in front of 250 guests and ahead of her nuptials, Williams told PEOPLE Magazine, “I am ridiculously excited. I am just so ready. I’m not even nervous. I mean, I know I’m marrying the love of my life, and it’s just going to solidify our relationship and our family bond. I’m calm and excited”
Meanwhile, Guobadia said, he just “a little nervous.” He added, “When you say you’re a little nervous, and you’re about to walk down the aisle, people are thinking, ‘Uh-oh.’ But my nervousness comes from the family members and friends who I haven’t seen in a long time coming into Atlanta!”
Williams said she was also “anxious” about her seven wardrobe changes she has planned between her two weddings. She said she “couldn’t turn any dresses down! If a wedding dress came my way, and I loved it, I got it,” She added, “It’s going to be a true fashion extravaganza.”
On Friday’s ceremony, Williams had three outfit changes. Her main outfit was a red gown designed by Lakimmy, which was in a customary fashion fro an Edo bride — as Guobadia is from Benin City, sitting in Nigeria’s Edo State.
The reality star and civil/social activist also wore an okuku, which is a headpiece featuring Benin coral beads.
Williams also wore one rooyal blue gown and one gold gown later, both designed by Tabik.

Williams even “personally chose the fabrics” for the traditional attire worn by her family. It is noted that guests were asked to wear traditional or formal Nigerian-inspired attire, featuring the colors of the day: purple and teal.
Speaking on her styling duties for her family, Williams said, “It was a huge undertaking. I personally chose the fabrics that they’re going to be wearing, including their head wrap, their gele. I chose all of the colors, everything. I should be a stylist after this!”
She added, “It’s going to be interesting to see people’s take on the fabric. It’s going to be a beautiful expression of fashion, love and family.”
