Pop Smoke’s Alleged Killers Charged, Could Face Death Penalty
Recently, we reported that Pop Smoke’s killers were in custody and the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office just announced criminal charges against 19-year-old Corey Walker and 18-year-old Keandre Rodgers.

Per TMZ, they were both charged with murder with special circumstances. This means that the death penalty is an option, however the D.A hasn’t confirmed if they will be seeking it, and the pair will most likely get life in prison for the February 4 murder. The D.A.’s Office also added gang and gun allegations to the complaint.

In addition a 15-year-old and 17-year-old have also been charged with one count of murder and robbery in juvenile court. Their identities are being hidden because they are minors.
The LAPD previously released the names, charges and bail amounts for each of suspects. Taking to its official Twitter account, the department updates, “The three adult suspects are listed by name as—Suspect 1: Corey Walker, Suspect 2: Keandre D. Rodgers and Suspect 3: Jaquan Murphy.”
As we reported, the rapper was shot and killed after four masked gunmen raided his Hollywood Hills rental. Officials report that the men didn’t know who the rapper was until he unintentionally posted his address online. He died that night.
Pop Smoke was just 20-years-old and just taking off in his career when his life was taken from him.
