Pop Smoke Posthumously Debuts On Billboard Hot 100 With ‘Dior’
Since his tragic murder, Pop Smoke continues living out his legacy through his music, which has seen a spike in streams, about 392%, and includes a posthumous debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with his hit “Dior.”
While the Brooklyn rapper made an appearance on the chart previously, with the JACKBOYS and Travis Scott track “GATTI,” Pop’s “Dior” currently sits at No. 49, snug between Migos, Young Thug and Travis Scott‘s “Give No Fux,” and Lil Baby‘s “Sum 2 Prove.”

Additionally, following his passing on February 19, “Dior” racked up 5.2 million streams, showing a 467% spike from 909,000 a day prior. The track with the highest increase is “Better Have You Gun,” which saw a 783% spike.
In addition to his posthumous success, prior to his passing, Pop’s ‘Meet The Woo 2‘ album, released on February 7, garnered 36,000 units; quite an accomplishment for a young newcomer.

Furthermore, with the aforementioned 36,000 units, ‘Meet The Woo 2‘ debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart, marking Pop’s first top 10.
In totality, Pop’s songs grabbed 24.7 million on-demand streams in the U.S. on the day of his death, garnering the aforementioned 392% increase from 5 million streams a day prior, Feb. 18.
