A Vacaville, California police officer was captured on camera Wednesday repeatedly assaulting a 17-year-old boy with autism after receiving a call about a suspect who had a knife in their hand.

The incident was recorded and posted online by Adam Wolf, Preston’s dad, who said the officer yelled at him to sit down after spotting him on his scooter. Preston was allegedly in an altercation with a neighbor and picked up a weapon but no one was hurt. In the clip, it shows the police officer tossing Preston’s scooter on the side and yelling in the teen’s face, causing him to try to flee from the encounter. Moments later, the officer grabs Preston and pulls him to the ground then starts punching him in the face.
Preston tells him “You punched me in the “f**king head” and the officer, says in response, “You’re gonna get hurt. Don’t make me hurt you more.” The teen was detained by police for an hour and was cited for the incident.

Wolf further explained the situation on his Facebook page in the following caption: “At that point, the officer felt it was a good idea to THROW Preston to the ground … I don’t believe that Preston will ever trust a police officer again. I am pro-police, but I am not pro ABUSE! This individual and department must be held accountable for their actions. NO child, disability or not, deserves to be treated like this.”
The assault is currently under investigation and the officer in the video claims he didn’t know the teen had special needs.
