Looks like Police officers fired tear gas to disperse a crowd of Roe v. Wade protestors from outside the Arizona Capitol Friday night!
SWAT team members with the Department of Public Safety reportedly fired tear gas without warning toward a large crowd filled with men, women, and children from the second floor of the old Capitol building to stop protesters that were located in the mall between the current House and Senate buildings.

In a statement, DPS said the protests progressed into an “unlawful assembly,” alleging the gas was needed as a sudden response to “the direct threat to the occupants of the Senate building and damage to the building itself.”
“Earlier tonight a crowd of protesters were pounding on the glass doors of the Senate Building. Part of a door was broken. Tear gas was deployed,” Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesperson Bart Graves expressed to NBC News. He said that one was taken into custody.
Republican state senator Michelle Ugenti-Rita tweeted a video of police officers gathering inside the Capitol building as protesters banged on the windows.
Rep. Sarah Liguori tweeted that lawmakers were working inside the Capitol building when they were “interrupted by the sound of bangs and smell of tear gas.”
Protestors have been speaking out around the world about the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Protesters even gathered to downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood Friday evening enraged.
In Arizona, we saw them firing munitions out windows into a crowd of peaceful protestors. In LA we saw them firing riot guns at close range, which will kill you if it hits you. In DC they rolled out stormtroopers to assault protestors. They are not your friends.

In Hollywood, the intersection on Highland Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard was blocked off by a large group and has since reopened. No incidents were reported. Later in the evening, AIR7 HD captured what appeared to be protesters throwing what looked like fireworks at police.
As we previously reported, At the White House, Biden said, “It’s a sad day for the court and for the country.” He urged voters to make it a defining issue in the November elections, declaring, “This decision must not be the final word.”
