On Monday, a man was sentenced to serve 31 years to life behind bars for orchestrating the murder of rapper PnB Rock by sending his 17-year-old son to carry out the crime at a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles.
Freddie Lee Trone was found guilty last month for his role in the killing of the rapper, whose birth name is Rakim Hasheem Allen. His son was charged with the robbery and shooting of PnB Rock at the South Los Angeles restaurant in 2022. Prosecutors argued that the teenager was following his father’s instructions and deemed him unfit to stand trial.

Tremont Jones, the other individual involved in the case, received a 12-year sentence after being found guilty on multiple robbery counts.
Prior to his death, the rapper was dining at a table with his girlfriend, who had previously shared a photo of their meal along with their location on Instagram.
“The victim along with a female witness were in the eating area at a restaurant, when they were approached by at least one suspect, who brandished a firearm and demanded property from the victim,” said LAPD Capt. Kelly Muniz.
“The suspect then shot the victim multiple times and removed property and then left the location in a getaway car.”
The rapper was transported to a hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries later on.

As we previously shared, PNB’s girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, opened up about the difficult year she has had since his passing and expressed her reluctance to relive the day he died. In her emotional post, she revealed a dream she had where PnB Rock visited her and their daughter, assuring her that he had changed for the better and was now in paradise. Despite her deep depression, Sibounheuang resolved to celebrate PnB Rock’s life and live hers to the fullest. It is clear that his death has had a profound impact on her, but she remains determined to push through and find strength in honoring his memory.
“I’ve been in the deepest depression for a lil min contemplating today’s date, which makes a year since your transition,” she captioned her tribute post. “I argued with God about openly reliving this day and i absolutely did not want to, so this is an act of obedience,” Sibounheuang, who shares a 3-year-old daughter Xuri with the rapper, continued in her post. “This same day last year, you could look into my eyes and tell my soul was not in my body.”
