Flat tummies, perky fluffy cheeks, and a well-shaped body isn’t just “a girl thing.” According to an exclusive report by the Daily Mail, many men in America have also been trying to achieve the perfect body with the help of cosmetic surgery.

Figures from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons suggest that 1.3 million men in the US have been going under the knife each year for cosmetic procedures including liposuction, nose jobs, breast reduction, and even the popular Brazilian Butt Lifts.

Dr. Nicholas Jones, MD, FACS, a plastic surgeon at Nip & Tuck Plastic Surgery in Atlanta, spoke with the Daily Mail and said he most commonly sees men come in for liposuction, BBLs, as well as treatment for overdevelopment of breast tissue. He said when it comes to liposuction specifically, “men are more likely to get high-definition liposuction.” Dr. Jones added, “At one point I would say it was frowned upon for a man to have surgery, but now it’s more accessible and people are showing their bodies off on social media.” He went on to say, due to this decreasing stigma, “men feel more competent and willing to undergo procedures.”

Dr. Jones noted that most men are also getting abdominal etching to get more definition. “I find that men really want that done so they can look more muscular.”

He continued, “[My] patients who get the BBLs are more likely to be from the LGBTQ+ community. I get a lot of gym trainers who have certain areas they want to address. I also have massive weight loss patients who just have excess skin and have that taken care of. I have retired police officers and college kids. It’s a pretty broad spectrum,” he said to the outlet.

The doc seems to be right as male influencers have previously spoken out about their cosmetic work.

As we previously reported, Chicago rapper Badman Kevo admitted to working out but also going under the knife to get the body he wants. He previously said,

“I was working out hard and still couldn’t lose my stomach so I went to @insta_p_h_a_m 🤣👏 I was 284 now I’m 220, but you have to still work out hard and most rappers [ain’t] gone tell you the sauce. If your lady needs her body done I might pay for yours and hers too 🤣🔮”

In the comment section of his IG post, Kevo goes on to respond to fans who tried to troll him about his new body.  Fellow Chicago rapper 600 Breezy told Kevo, “On what you got a bbl fonem.” Responding, Kevo said, “@ 600breezy some months back. I said fix all this sh*t gang I can’t be out here bad body.”

Clearly, Kevo has no shame in his game and we’re sure other men have the same energy after getting a hot new body.
