New Jersey resident John Yurkovich Jr.,45, was restrained by his fellow passengers shortly after the plane took off from Newark Airport early Wednesday morning. A doctor who was also on board the flight used a Benadryl and injected it into Yurkovich so he could calm down until authorities arrested him after the plane made an emergency landing in South Carolina. A complaint filed by the FBI reads that Yurkovich possessed two grams of methamphetamines and reportedly became irate after using the bathroom.

“When he was seated, Yurkovich yelled out loud, capturing the attention of several other passengers in the surrounding area,” the report said. A fellow passenger said they witnessed Yurkovich taking the pills out of his bag and shoving them in his mouth. He also yelled at another passenger who was sitting next to him and held his hands up since Yurkovich was stumbling on the flight. However, he threatens the passenger and says “Don’t f—ing put your hands on me! I’ll f—ing punch you in the face.” He proceeds to punch the passenger repeatedly, leading the male victim to receive seven stitches upon landing.
