Pizza Delivery Employee Shoots Thief Who Attempts To Carjack His Vehicle

A Pennsylvania pizza delivery man was working on making a delivery when he was confronted by a suspect who attempted to carjack his vehicle.

The shooting took place in the Kensington section of Philadelphia on Thursday when a 23-year-old suspect approached the 39-year-old pizza delivery man. Authorities said the young man pointed his gun at the victim and told him to get out of the vehicle before he pulled out his own weapon.

Additionally, the victim has a license to carry and proceed to shoot the suspect six times with his legal firearm. The suspect fired back but the victim was not injured in the shooting.

“The driver of that car- when he saw that this male was pointing a gun at him, demanding that he get out of the vehicle – brandished his own firearm, which he was legally allowed to carry,” said Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace in a statement to 6 ABC News.

He was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. Two other people were with the suspect at the time of the shooting and were taken in for questioning.
