Piers Morgan Leaves Good Morning Britain After Storming Off Stage
Piers Morgan has promptly decided to leave his role on ITV’s Good Morning Britain after an explosive discussion about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. As we reported, Piers stormed off stage after he was confronted about his alleged vendetta against Markle.
Piers was questioned about having a vendetta against Meghan Markle, who had expressed having thoughts of suicide during her Oprah Winfrey interview. However, Morgan said he doesn’t believe a word Markle said about The Royal family.
The show’s co-presenter, Alex Beresford questioned Piers’ continuous negativity towards Markle, claiming it started because she dropped him as a friend after she met Harry. Beresford called his behaviour “pathetic” and “diabolical”. Piers couldn’t handle it and stormed off.
“I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle, you’ve made it so clear a number of times on this programme, and I understand you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle and she cut you off. She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has but yet you continue to trash her.”
“OK, I’m done with this, sorry, no, can’t do this, Piers then responds.
Following the incident, British media regulator Ofcom revealed that it had launched an investigation into Piers’ actions. Per Variety, an Ofcom spokesperson said, “We have launched an investigation into Monday’s episode of ‘Good Morning Britain’ under our harm and offense rules.”
