Peter Thomas held his head high as he walked out of a courthouse on Wednesday, telling his followers on Instagram he had been found not guilty after being accused of choking a woman in Baltimore. As previously reported by @theneighborhoodtalk, Thomas was hit with a criminal charge (second-degree assault) following claims he had gotten physical with a woman named Chanel Williams at his Bar One restaurant out in Baltimore.
It was alleged that Williams, who is Tammy Rivera’s niece, had made a comment about Thomas being “p*ssy drunk” at his own establishment, which the former reality star was said to have overheard. Thomas allegedly became irate and was accused of reaching for Williams’ throat while staff members tried to restrain him and diffuse the heated situation.

In one of his most recent videos posted to his Instagram on Wednesday, however, Thomas shared that despite the serious allegations made against him, the verdict had come back and found him not guilty. “Keep on coming for me, but I tell them that I’m protected,” he said. “They trying to come for me all kinds of ways but I’m protected, alright?” Well, it appeared as if Rivera got word of the verdict as she hopped onto her Instagram Story hours later, insisting that her niece was actually attacked by Thomas.
“We’re very happy with the verdict,” Thomas’ attorney, Warren Brown, said at the Elijah E. Cummings Courthouse. “This man is 62, has led a stellar life, built a successful business. And I think the jury rendered the right verdict.”
Thomas would go on to share a Bible scripture in his Instagram video, saying that though he may walk through the valley of death, he shall fear no evil. “Keep on coming for me, but I tell them that I’m protected. Trying to come for me in all kinds of ways but I’m protected.”

While Thomas doesn’t have a history of getting physical with women, he has made a number of headlines over the years, including claims he had written his employees bad paychecks in 2021, and not to forget how his ex-wife Cynthia Bailey alleged he owed $450,000 in back taxes due to losses he piled up from one of his restaurants.
