Pete Davidson reportedly reached out to Kim Kardashian after her ex-husband, Kanye West, was seen wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt, and his anti-semitic comments.
“A lot of people have been reaching out to offer Kim support, including Pete [Davidson],” a source for Hollywood Life recently shared. “He’s in the middle of shooting another movie but he’s been in touch. He’s such a sweet guy and Kim’s grateful they can still be friends.”
They continued: “Pete and Kim still talk on occasion and several weeks after the break up, they had gotten to a place of being cordial with each other. Pete has texted Kim a few times about the whole Kanye situation because he still cares about her as a person and wanted to check in to see how she was doing.”
A few days ago, a family insider told TMZ that Kim is setting up a healthy boundary for herself and “hasn’t spoken directly to him in weeks.” With the antisemitic attacks on the Jewish community, his “White Lives Matter” statement, and having to hire extra security at her kids’ school after he revealed where they attend, she done with the rapper and his antics.
Ye made more headlines today after his Drink Champs interview was released yesterday and folks caught the moment where he claimed George Floyd died from fentanyl and not from a cop having their knee on his neck. “I watched the George Floyd documentary that Candace Owens put out… They hit him with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that,” West said.
His statement quickly made rounds on social media and the family of George Floyd reportedly caught wind of his comments and is now seeking a possible lawsuit against him. “While one cannot defame the dead, the family of #GeorgeFloyd is considering suit for Kanye’s false statements about the manner of his death,” Lee Merritt, a lawyer for Floyd’s family, said in a statement posted to social media on Sunday.
