Oop! Mama bear does not play! Actor and comedian Pete Davidson is opening about how hard his mom goes to bat for him! Davidson recently recalled how she previously used burner accounts to defend her son against trolls on social media.

During a recent interview on Seth Meyers‘ podcast, ‘Family Trips With the Meyers Brothers,’ the former ‘Saturday Night Live‘ cast member made his big reveal.
The 29-year-old comedian admitted that during his early days on ‘SNL,’ his mother, Amy Davidson, used to have fake Twitter accounts and deployed them whenever she needed to hand out a clap back or two against her son’s haters.

On Meyers’ podcast, Davidson said, “My mom used to have a fake Twitter account when I first got ‘SNL.’ It was, like, my second or third year, and it was a lot of ‘he’s not useful’ typical Twitter comments. And my mom made a f***ing fake Twitter account under the name @ JoeSmith1355 and would respond to everyone.”
Davidson went on to admit that his mom’s response to all of his haters was “so specific.” He said she would reply to the trolls by shutting down their false narratives and garbage-talking comments directed at her son. He said, “It was so specific, like, ‘Actually, I heard he’s working on himself and does that quite often.”

The comedian then shared how his mom’s burner account got discovered. He said it actually didn’t take too much work to for the trolls on social media to uncover and connect the dots as to who owned the Pete Davidson stan account. He began, “This was the kicker.”
He explained, “Everyone found out it was my mom, not through detective work. They found out because her username was @ JoeSmith, but her profile name was Amy Davidson and the profile picture was Amy Davidson. So it was a picture of my mom, with a name that said @ JoeSmith1355, commenting on all these haters. She got my back, dude.”
As mentioned, Davidson’s mother had defended her son with the burner account in the early days of his career on the comedy sketch series. He had first joined in 2014 and would appear on the show up until 2022.
