People Are Trying To #BoycottGoya Foods After CEO Praises Trump
On Thursday, Goya CEO Robert Unanue, a grandson of the founders, spoke at a Rose Garden event announcing a “Hispanic Prosperity Initiative.” While speaking, Unanue, praised US President, Donald Trump.

He said, “We all truly blessed, at the same time, to have a leader like President Trump who is a builder,” Unanue said standing at a podium beside Trump.
Those who caught wind of the news were immediately outraged. Many were angered by the support, citing Trump’s history of offensive comments and harsh policies toward Hispanics, with many social media users pointing out the administration’s policy of separating immigrant families at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Some people were so furious that they called on others to #BoycottGoya along with #GoyaFoods. Celebrities like Evelyn a Lozada and Chrissy Teigen joined in. The model posted to Twitter today,” “FUUUUUUUCK. A shame. Don’t care how good the beans taste though. Bye bye.”
