Ozzy Osbourne Reveals That He Has Been Battling Parkinson’s Disease

Ozzy Osbourne revealed Tuesday that he is battling Parkinson’s disease during an interview with Good Morning America.

The the legendary rockstar was joined by his children and his wife Sharon, as they opened up about the difficult journey they experienced since his fall and Parkinson’s diagnosis last year.

It’s been terribly challenging for us all,” Osbourne said. “I did my last show New Year’s Eve at The Forum. Then I had a bad fall. I had to have surgery on my neck, which screwed all my nerves.”

Osborne was noticeably missing from the public eye after his diagnosis, but, it was time for him to tell his fans about his battle.

“It’s PRKN 2,” added wife, Sharon. “There’s so many different types of Parkinson’s; it’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. And it’s — it’s like you have a good day, a good day, and then a really bad day.”

Ozzy added that he felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders,  “I feel better now that I’ve owned up to the fact that I have a case of Parkinson’s. And I just hope [my fans] hang on and they’re there for me because I need them.” He called his fans his “air.”
