Over 30,000 Republican Voters Change Party Affiliation After Fatal Capitol Riot
After the fatal Pro-Donald Trump Capitol riot on January 6, over 30,000 Republican voters changed their party affiliation. Per a report from The Hill, this past Wednesday, tens of thousands of voters in Pennsylvania, Arizona, North Carolina, Maryland, Colorado and Florida are now former Republicans.
It’s stated that many GOP members have strongly denounced the treasonous attack on the Capitol and the new data proves it. In Pennsylvania, it’s reported that almost 10,000 GOP members have parted ways with the party as of January 25. Of those, 3,476 switched to the Democratic Party as the others sit another party or remain unaffiliated.

Simultaneously, the state saw 2,093 Democrats switched to the GOP party during the same period as 1,184 became unaffiliated or switched to a third party. Meanwhile, in Miami, Florida, 1,000 GOP voters fled the party and 2,000 left the party across other counties. In total, over 15,000 GOP voters left the party in NC, AZ and CO combined, with over 2,000 fleeing in Maryland.
