‘Orange Is The New Black’ Star Taryn Manning Starring In Upcoming Thriller ‘Karen’
Looks like Karens are going Hollywood as writer and director Coke Daniels prepares his upcoming thriller ‘Karen,’ which will feature ‘Orange Is The New Black‘ star Taryn Manning.
The film is aptly based on the real-life tales of a “Karen” — a racist, bigoted, entitled white woman, in this case, from the South, who terrorizes her new African-American and pro-Black Lives Matter neighbors, Assata and Malik. Manning’s character, “Karen White,” believes races should stick to their “own kind,” especially when it relates to her beloved neighborhood. Being so, she is set out to get rid of the new kids on the block, by any means necessary; however, they too refuse to “go down” without a fight.

While the film is described as a suspense thriller, Daniels is using his perspective on race and social injustice in America to teach viewers on injustices and the real-life character — “Karen.” Production for the film is slated to start in the fall and release sometime next year. #Socialites, will you be watching this new movie?
