Just days after news broke about their divorce, fans noticed that Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The little move comes shortly after social media users thought that Kim’s daughter Brielle Biermann had also cut digital ties with her adoptive father. However, a source exclusively told PEOPLE that “all the kids are still in contact with Kroy,” including Ariana, 21, and Brielle, 26. The insider added, “There is no drama between Brielle, Ariana, and Kroy yet. “They want to have a relationship with him and Kim supports that.”
It was reported earlier this week that Kim filed for divorce from Kroy after 11 years of marriage. But according to updated reports by the New York Post, it was noted that Kroy was actually the one to legally call it quits first — despite prior reports to the contrary. Per the outlet, he filed on May 5 and the divorce records state that Biermann “has separated from Respondent on the ground that the marriage is irretrievably broken and thereby entitling Petitioner to a divorce under Georgia law.” Zolciak was reportedly served a summons on Monday, May 8.

He cited the reason for their split as “irretrievably broken” and requested “temporary and permanent sole legal and sole physical custody” of their four minor children, KJ, Kash, Kaia, and Kane. They’re also parents to Brielle and Ariana, who are of legal age.
The former NFL linebacker, 37, is also asking that the property he purchased separately from Zolciak, 44, be fully awarded to him. However, he’s requesting that their debt be split evenly. In addition to that, he’s reportedly also asking for alimony.
Specifically, court records state, “Petitioner shows that he should be awarded exclusive, temporary, and permanent use and possession of the marital residence located at 3140 Manor Bridge Drive.”
In Kim’s filing, she reportedly listed April 30th as the date of separation in the documents. The Bravo star also claimed the marriage is “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.” In addition to that, she is reportedly seeking primary physical custody of the children as well as joint legal custody. It was also said that Kim is reportedly seeking spousal support and is expected to legally restore her maiden name.
More On Their Split
Speaking of debt, the news of their split came just hours after it was reported that the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and her husband, Kroy Biermann, owe the IRS more than $1 million.
As previously mentioned, legal documents obtained by the outlet reveal the couple owes $1.1 million for unpaid taxes, interest, and penalties from 2013 – 2018. Zolciak and Biermann are also said to owe the state of Georgia $15,000 for unpaid taxes for 2018, according to the report.
