Viral social media sensation Onijah Robinson is opening up about getting stuck in Dubai, her son claiming she has mental health issues, and her suffering a miscarriage in Pakistan.
As we previously shared earlier this month, Onijah Robinson is officially back in New York after her viral journey to Pakistan and Dubai. Robinson first started going viral in late December 2024/early January 2025 as she demanded a Pakistani government give her citizenship, land, and a weekly allowance after flying to the country for love.
In October 2024, the 33-year-old Brooklyn native and Bronx resident traveled to Karachi, Pakistan to meet with her then-19-year-old boyfriend, now 20, Nidal Ahmed, whom she met online. Despite rumors claiming Ahmed’s family disapproved of their love and abandoned her in Pakistan, she told TMZ earlier this month that wasn’t the case. She said she ended up marrying her lover and that she became close with his family.
In February 2025, before Onijah Robinson’s return to NYC, her son, Jeremiah Robinson, claimed she has mental health issues. He also claimed that her rumored failed love story is fabricated. He said she knew Ahmed and had initially planned to return home after two weeks, but failed to do so. Jeremiah also said that he and his brother tried to convince her to come home. He said they even booked a flight for her, but she refused.

Onijah Robinson Denies Getting Jailed In Dubai
In a new interview on Hot 97’s TT Torrez‘s podcast, ‘Tap In With TT,’ Onijah Robinson talks about her journey to Pakistan, getting stuck in Dubai, her children, and her son’s claims about her having mental health issues. As the conversation begins, Robinson says she and her lover met through an AT&T call center and a month later, they made things official.
Eventually, they got married through an online service, called Online Weddings Utah. About a year and a half later, Robinson flew to Pakistan to meet her man in person. She said they were both attracted to each other and began going on multiple dates to further get to know each other. She again said Ahmed’s family was accepting of her.
Robinson previously confirmed with TMZ that she was not jailed in Dubai when she disappeared from social media for weeks. She denied the rumors about making too much noise in public and getting arrested. She told Torrez:
“No, it [didn’t] happen like that. My husband sent me some Dubai money and I went to go pick it up at the MoneyGram. Somebody noticed me and then everybody started noticing me. I was like, ‘Oh my God. Don’t start this now in Dubai. Let’s not start this. But, they were just showing me mad love. I took pictures with millions of people. I just showed them love.
But, when the camera part came about, I was just coming from the airport, going back to his house, because I got turned around. My visa was up. So, I had to fix it first before I could get on the plane. Everything was just delayed at the time I went. He and his mom dropped me off.”

Onijah Robinson Denies Having Mental Health Issues As Son Previously Claimed
Torrez continued to seek clarification, asking Onijah if she was in a Dubai jail or holding cell at any point. She confirmed, “I wasn’t in jail, no. It wasn’t a holding cell at all. No.” When asked why she went ghost, but wasn’t locked up, she said:
“They wanted to do everything privately. They wanted to stay private within the religion. Sometimes we don’t like to be exposed…The government. They didn’t allow me [to film or] do certain things because they already knew who I was from Pakistan. Obviously, everybody heard before me. They knew I was on the way [and they put a stop to it before I arrived]. Everywhere I went I had to be escorted.”
Robinson said she stayed in Dubai for nearly a month before she made her way back to New York City. She stayed in a hotel, separate from her husband. Torrez and Robinson moved on to her children and her son Jeremiah’s claims of her having mental health issues. She said she doesn’t have mental health issues.

She then claimed that the viral video of her dancing in a hospital hallway was from her being treated for anemia and getting blood in Pakistan. She said she doesn’t have mental health issues, but added that she has asthma. Seeking more clarification, Torrez asked if she had ever dealt with mental health issues and Robinson said, “No.”
Robinson also revealed that she does speak with her son, Jeremiah Robinson Pitt, who spoke out about her. She said he is 17 years old and still lives with her. Meanwhile, her 10-year-old son, Sire Pitt, lives with his father, who has full custody. She said they co-parent and that her sons are both well-taken care of. She also told Torrez about the reports of her having a movie about her story. Robinson also reveals she and Ahmed suffered a miscarriage in Pakistan.
