One of the Louisville police officers who raided Breonna Taylor’s home was wearing a body cam despite the department’s claims that there were no bodycams on the officers’ uniforms.

According to TMZ, photos of officer Tony James show him wearing a body cam and although it is unclear if the camera was working at the time of Taylor’s death, it contradicts the police chief’s claims. He said in a statement hours after the shooting, “I want to start by letting you all know that we have no body-worn video cameras to share with you from this morning’s shooting. This incident was related to the execution of a search warrant by members of our Criminal Interdiction Division, and some of the officers assigned to this division do not wear body-worn video systems.”
Another officer, Myles Cosgrove, was pictured in his uniform with a body camera mount but a camera was not attached. These photos were first obtained by Vice News. The outlet also sat down with Mayor Greg Fischer and asked if he knew if the officers wore body cameras during the shooting. He said, “Not to my knowledge.”
