According to The Hill citing the Louisville Courier-Journal, the billboard located in Louisville’s Irish Hill neighborhood was destroyed by red paint that was splattered across Taylor’s forehead. As we reported, a total of twenty-six billboards were erected in and around the city earlier this month. All of them depict Oprah’s cover featuring Taylor, which was the first time she had put someone else other than herself on the front. The billboards call for the officers in Taylor’s death to be arrested and charged. Her tragic death by LMPD officers is still under investigation by the attorney general’s office. Although there’s no timeline on a conclusion, AG Daniel Cameron has recently said he’s still waiting on evidence from the FBI. However family attorney Ben Crump said they do expect charges to be filed against the officers very soon after meeting with Cameron a few days ago.

The red paint was seen by residents on Tuesday. WAVE 3 News reports that concerned citizens called the billboard company, alerting them of the vandalized sign to try to get a replacement photo posted.

According to WAVE 3 NewsDawne Gee, news crew drove past that area at about 1 p.m. this afternoon and said the vandalism had been removed. Oprah or a rep for her team has not commented on this latest incident.
