One Critically Injured After Shooting Near Cafe In Los Angeles

A shooting occurred early Saturday morning near a Westwood cafe in Los Angeles.

According to KTLA, the shooting occurred around 3:50 a.m. in front of the Habibi Cafe on Broxton Street. The Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement that the suspect fled the scene shortly after shooting the victim multiple times and surveillance footage displayed two SUVs sustaining damage from the shooting.

Several cafe employees reported they heard multiple gunshots while serving customers who were eating outside. The family-owned restaurant operates on a 24-hour schedule.

The victim was not immediately identified by investigators and they were transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was llisted under critical condition due to the extent of his injuries from the shooting.
