O Yeong-su indicted by South Korean prosecutors for sexual misconduct.

#Socialites, come get into this! Do you guys remember O Yeong-su — the actor who won a Golden Globe for his role in the hit Netflix series “Squid Games?” Well, according to a shocking report, he has been indicted for allegedly touching a woman.

According to the Daily Mail, a complaint had been filed by the alleged victim last year for inappropriately touching her in 2017.  Police had closed the case in April without filing charges against him. However, the prosecutor’s office in Suwon, south of the capital of Seoul, reopened the case and investigated the allegations, which Yeong-su has consistently denied.

The 78-year-old had previously spoken about the allegations, telling local media last year that he had “held hands with the woman to show the way around a lake.” As the outlet notes, he apologized to the alleged victim last in 2020, but reportedly said he’d done so because the woman said “she wouldn’t make a fuss about it” but added that an apology “doesn’t mean that I admit the charges.”

“I just held her hand to guide the way around the lake. I apologized because [the person] said she wouldn’t make a fuss about it but it doesn’t mean that I admit the charges,” he told Korean broadcaster JTBC.
