“Love Island USA” fans, gather ‘round because Chelley Bissainthe just dropped a bombshell!

The Season 7 sweetheart slid onto SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio and, with a whole lot of emotion in her voice, let the world know she and Ace Greene are officially done.

Chelley didn’t sugarcoat the moment either. Mid-conversation, she took a deep breath and laid it out plain: “Ace and I actually decided to part ways.” She made it clear the breakup wasn’t impulsive or petty just grown folks making a hard call.

“It really was a tough decision, like, for the both of us and very hard to decide. But, you know, when you love someone, sometimes loving someone means letting go. So I think we just got to a decision that was best.”
Whew.

Outside the villa where the vibes are cute, the sun is perfect, and the real world can’t reach you things hit different. Chelley admitted life after the cameras brought a new level of pressure to their connection.

“[There was] a mutual level of respect and understanding that we wanted this to work. But sometimes things don’t work,” she said. “Couples go through things that are very challenging and sometimes the best thing to do is make a decision that needs to be made.”

This wasn’t a snap breakup either. The two talked it through, circled back, unpacked their feelings, and then talked some more.

“We had a lot of conversations,” she explained. “At the end of the day, it was just a mutual agreement of, like, this is for the best.”
And yes — she thought about y’all, the fans, who rode for them on and off screen.

“I’ve definitely thought about our supporters, our fans and stuff,” she said. “But I’ll trust that they’ll understand that this decision needed to be made if we were able to come to this mutual decision.”

When it came to the why, Chelley kept it classy. No mess, no dragging, no subbing.

“A lot happens in relationships. People can understand that,” she added. “I think out of respect for the both of us, the details aren’t really necessary. I think that we can be peaceful and understand that we’re good with being able to be on the same page.”

One thing she did emphasize: their love was real-real — not for followers, not for press, not for a storyline.

“Our relationship, from the very beginning, our understanding was our relationship wasn’t for the press, for the media or anything,” she said. “It was because I truly love you, you truly love me.”

But she also kept it honest about knowing when to stop before things get messy:

“Sometimes, like I said, you just want to be able to say, ‘You know what, let’s leave it right here before it turns into something it never needs to be.’ Like, we can leave off with light and love.”

Chelley even took a moment to get philosophical — in a way only someone who has truly loved and lost can.

“We are put on this earth to experience people,” she reflected. “Sometimes we want it to last a lifetime and sometimes … it’s for that moment in time.” She closed by saying she’s grateful for Ace and ready to focus on her own healing and growth.

For those who need a refresher: Chelley and Ace entered Season 7 already having crossed paths once — a quick club encounter in New York and a lil’ social media follow-back — which had viewers whispering about whether their spark was pre-lit. But once they coupled up in the villa, survived Casa Amor, and made things exclusive before leaving together on the July 11, 2025 episode, fans crowned them one of the season’s strongest pairings.

As for Ace? He hasn’t spoken publicly yet, but the internet is definitely waiting.

And just like that… Chelley’s outside again. Stay tuned, because this story is far from over.
