LAD Bible reports 20-year-old Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya tragically fell to her death after falling out of a building this week. Local news reports state a suicide note was found after authorities began to investigate the circumstances of her death. Alexandrovskaya gained prominence after becoming the first Indigenous Australian to compete at the Winter Olympics and won the Australian National Champion for pair skating twice with her partner, Harley Windsor. She became an Australian citizen in 2017, two years after meeting Windsor.
The Olympic figure skater had to retire due to health issues earlier this year. On his Instagram page, Windsor posted a photo of himself and Alexandrovskaya with the following caption:
“Words can not describe how I feel right now, I am devastated and sick to my core about the sad and sudden passing of Katia. The amount we had achieved during our partnership is something I can never forget and will always hold close to my heart. This news is something you can never prepare for. Rest In Peace Katia.”
