Whether you believe Bigfoot/Sasquatch exists or not, Larry Sanders sure does and he was not taking any chances when he felt his dearly departed friend was going to feed him to the mythical/actual creature.
On Sunday,July 10, Sanders gave two special agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation a bizarre confession. As authorities probed the death of Jimmy Glenn Knighten, they claim Sanders, who was arrested for suspicion of first-degree murder, confessed.

Apparently, Sanders and Knighten went noodling in the South Canadian River on Saturday (July 9). Noodling is considered fishing with bare hands to catch catfish.
Now, Sanders claimed that while he and Knighten were noodling, they had gotten into a physical altercation before the fatal attack.
According to the arrest affidavit:
“LARRY claimed that while at the river, he discovered JIMMY intended to feed him to sasquatch/bigfoot.
LARRY indicated JIMMY attempted to get away from him so that the sasquatch could eat LARRY.
LARRY would not let JIMMY get away. LARRY punched JIMMY and struck JIMMY with a stick.
LARRY and JIMMY fought for an extended amount of time on the ground.
LARRY confirmed he killed JIMMY by choking him to death near the river.”

According to authorities Sanders also drew a map and shared further details of where investigators could locate Knighten’s body; which was later found on Sunday (July 10).
It is reported that Pontotoc County deputies were first made aware of Knighten’s death on Saturday (July 9), by the mother of Sanders’ daughter.
The mother claims that her daughter told her that Sanders himself confessed to the killing of Knighten during their noodling trip.
Upon reporting the crime, a deputy launched an investigation and came to the home for statements. Sanders was one of the many people at the home and the deputy claimed that he seemed unable to remain still.
As mentioned, Sanders eventually confessed to the crime to two special agents.
On Wednesday (July 13), a representative of the Pontotoc County Jail claimed that Sanders remained locked up without any bond, and sitting on the charge of first-degree murder.
It is unclear if Sanders has any legal representation, but his next court date is scheduled for Tuesday, July 26.
