A man from Oklahoma City was arrested after being accused of passing HIV to three women.

Earnest Lacour, 30, was detained on Thursday after a woman informed authorities of his HIV status and posted a warning to her followers on social media about his possible role in spreading the disease. Other women came forward about their interactions with Lacour, and investigators found in his medical records that he had tested positive for HIV in August 2019, according to FOX 25.
One of the women said she went to the doctor with Lacour after testing positive and said she knew about his status when he was given his medication without taking a blood test.

Authorities later charged Lacour with three felony counts of knowingly spreading HIV.
He’s currently held at the Oklahoma County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
A model recently shared her experience of unknowingly contracting HIV, which turned into AIDS after it was left untreated.
Gena Tew shared on social media that she was diagnosed with AIDS after she experienced severe weight loss and lost the ability to walk. The model said she most likely contracted the disease when she was around 17 to 19 years old as a homeless person in New York City.
“I did get raped a couple of times but it’s not something I like to talk about, I have had a couple free tattoos, so it could have been a dirty needle, I don’t know. Do I know any one of those people? No. Did I say anything when those things happened? No. Because I was naïve and I was stupid and I was young.”
She experienced vision loss due to the virus and underwent corrective eye surgery to resolve the issue. However, she’s now experiencing ‘hemorrhages,’ but now she’s undetectable and says she can’t transmit HIV to anyone else.
