‘OITNB’ Star Samira Wiley & Wife Lauren Morelli Welcome Baby Girl George Elizabeth
‘Orange Is the New Black (OITNB)‘ star Samira Wiley, 34, and her wife (also ‘OITNB’ producer and writer) Lauren Morelli, 38, revealed on Mother’s Day that they welcomed a baby girl last month named George Elizabeth.
Taking to her Instagram, Wiley posted a photo of her baby girl holding her mommies’ fingers. She captioned it, “Happy 1st Mother’s Day to my beautiful wife, who four weeks ago today after laboring for almost 3 days gave birth to our first child—our gorgeous daughter, George.💜 Welcome to the world, babygirl. We love you and we thank you for giving us the best 1st Mother’s Day two ladies could ask for.”

Posting the same photo, Morelli wrote, “4 weeks ago today, our daughter came into the world and changed everything. We are so happy, so grateful, and so tired.” Many of the ‘OITNB‘ cast members took to the comments to share the joy. Actress Jackie Cruz wrote, “I’m so happy for you guys 😍,” while actress Elizabeth Rodriguez wrote, “Omg!!!!! Happy Mother’s Day.” The couple first met on set of the show and married in Palm Springs, CA in 2017 after a year-long engagement.
