An 18-year-old boy was arrested Friday after he reportedly pulled out an AK-47 while standing at the Times Square subway platform in New York City.

NYPD officers arrested Saadiq Teague after performing an inspection at the A/C/E 42nd Street-Port Authority station Friday afternoon. According to their report, Teaque was spotted by police officers while he was charging his cellphone and his unloaded semi-automatic weapon was noticeably sticking out of his bookbag. Officers said they found a gas mask and ammunition inside the bag and Teague told them that he had a gun permit from Ohio. Additionally, he stated he was visiting a friend who was living in the city.
He was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and one count for ammunition.

The FBI was informed of the situation but it is unclear if they will take action. Before his arrest, Teague posted several videos on Instagram walking around the city with the weapon pointing out of his bookbag and he was accompanied by a friend.
