The clip shows Sheffield Lake police chief Anthony Campo printing out a note with the group’s name in the department’s booking office last Friday and placing it on the cop’s raincoat before he entered the office. After he was confronted by Sheffield Lake Mayor Dennis Bring about the racist sign, Campo was placed on administrative leave, and Bring added that he was notified about the note from the police union. “I said you’ve already admitted to it. I said you’ve got 10 minutes to get out of this office. I said I want your keys, badge and that’s it. Get out,'” he recalled telling Campo.

Bring also noted that he created a cone from a piece of paper and placed it on his head, “He made a comment that ‘You’re going to have to wear this for the shift.”

Campo says the incident was taken out of context and has respect for the targeted police officer. Additionally, he doesn’t believe that the office was the one who filed the complaint against him and thinks it was his colleagues who filed the complaint in retaliation.
